Dahmensee Brüggen

Dahmensee is a picturesque lake located in the municipality of Brüggen, in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The lake is part of the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park and covers an area of approximately 20 hectares. Surrounded by dense forests and natural landscapes, Dahmensee offers an idyllic setting for nature lovers and those seeking relaxation.

Visitors can enjoy various recreational activities around Dahmensee. Hiking trails run along the shore, allowing visitors to explore the surrounding nature and enjoy the beautiful views. There are also picnic areas and green spaces that invite visitors to linger and relax.

Swimming is strictly prohibited! Although swimming in Dahmensee and Venekotensee is prohibited, more and more people are drawn there on warm days.

To start your hike at Dahmensee, I recommend driving to the parking area named ‘Dahmensee Parkplatz‘. From there, you can easily begin your hike and look forward to a fantastic nature experience. The parking area provides ample space for cars and is an ideal starting point for your adventure at Dahmensee. Don’t forget to bring all necessary hiking gear and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.

Near Dahmensee, there is a campsite called “Campingplatz Dilborner Mühle.” From this campsite, you have the opportunity to reach Dahmensee within a 1.8 km walk.

The campsite accommodates caravans, including options for permanent pitches. A restaurant and sanitary facilities are available.
